The Quai D'Orsay photos in this gallery show the brand's French roots, its beginnings in Paris and the close collaboration with Cuban manufacturers. On display are historical details of the first formats, light-coloured wrappers, old boxes with integrated terracotta humidifiers and motifs from the Partagás factory in Havana.
History
Quai d'Orsay was created in the 1970s at the request of the French government and was developed together with Cubatabaco. The brand was long exclusive to France, later experienced supply bottlenecks and was successfully redesigned in 2017. To this day, it stands for light Habanos with a characteristic style.
The new logo of the Quai-d'Orsay brand, completely revised and modernised.
The Quai-d'Orsay brand lettering is also used as the logo. Simple and yet beautiful.
Quai-d'Orsay is the name of a street in Paris, and since 1973 it has also been the name of a Habanos brand that was initially only available in France.
Quai-d'Orsay, world-famous and one of the most famous streets in Paris, in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, on the Rive Gauche, the left bank of the Seine, between the Pont de la Concorde and the Pont de l'Alma.
A nameplate of the street in Paris: Quai-d'Orsay; one of the best addresses in Paris, is also a perfect name for a cigar brand.
The Quai-d'Orsay brand design was completely relaunched in 2017. More intense in colour, clear and modern.
Five formats belonged to the Quai-d'Orsay brand in the 1970s: rather slender formats with light to very light-coloured wrapper leaves.
The relaunch of the Quai-d'Orsay brand has not only changed the design, the brand now largely presents new formats that cater to the tastes of aficionados.
A classic of the Quai-d'Orsay brand: the Quai-d'Orsay Coronas Claros, the only format that existed back then and still exists today.
Cigars of the Quai-d'Orsay brand are available today in the common ring sizes 50, 52 and 54, with the ring size 53 being a reminder of SEITA's headquarters in No. 53.
Lively, fresh colours underline the vibrancy of the Quai-d'Orsay brand today.
For many years, Quai-d'Orsay brand cigars were made in the Romeo y Julieta factory on Calle Belascoain No. 852.
The Casa Matriz of the Quai-d'Orsay brand is now the Partagás factory on Calle San Carlos No. 816.
Casa Matriz is the parent company where the cigars of a particular brand, in this case Quai-d'Orsay, are made.
In today's Partagás factory, where the Quai-d'Orsay brand cigars are made, many other brands are of course also produced.
