Festival del Habano Berlinés 2026 - Three days of Cuban cigar culture at Cigar Herzogs - La Casa del Habano Berlin
From the 25 to 27 February 2026 Berlin once again became the meeting place for the international Habanos community: the Festival del Habano Berlinés transformed the La Casa del Habano Berlin into a stage for Cuban cigar culture for three evenings. More than 100 guests accepted the invitation from Zigarren Herzog and experienced a festival that combined enjoyment, history and community in a special way.

In close co-operation with the 5th Avenue Products Trading-GmbH, the official Habanos importer for Germany, the Berlin festival orientated itself on the great model in Havana and at the same time set its own accents.
Wednesday - Habanos Moments del Berlinés

The opening evening was characterised by the traditional brand H.Upmann. The following were tasted H.Upmann Half Corona and the H.Upmann Connoisseur A (LCDH/HS). The evening was accompanied by an exclusive champagne pairing with Krug Grande Cuvée Edition 173 and Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2009.
A live connection to Christoph A. Puszkar, Managing Director of 5th Avenue, and a historical contribution on the H.Upmann factories emphasised the cultural depth of the opening event.

Thursday - Noche Cubana
The second evening was dedicated to the coveted Ediciónes Regionales. With the Diplomáticos Grandes (ER 2021) and the Saint Luis Rey Belicoso (ER 2023) two rare formats, manufactured exclusively for the German market, took centre stage.
The pairing presented The Dalmore a curated selection, including the Cigar Malt Reserve and the Dalmore 18YO Vintage 2006. The combination of Cuban cigar art and Scottish distilling tradition gave the evening a special international flavour.

Friday - Cohiba Celebration Night
The gala evening began with Champagne Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut and introduced the brand Cohiba which celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026. The following wines were tasted Cohiba Medio Siglo and the Cohiba Siglo VI, two formats that impressively represent the breadth and class of the brand.
One of the highlights was the award ceremony during the festival. In the category „Comunicación“ was Gerhard Heimsath (Art of Smoke) for his services to the communication and promotion of cigar culture.

As „Best Cuban Brand“ was H.Upmann This was the result of the previous online voting and at the same time a tribute to the historical significance of this traditional brand.
The evening was musically accompanied by the Cuban trio around Luis Enrique Spengler, while the Havana Club Bar classic Cuban cocktails and selected rums. The programme was complemented by high-quality, multi-course catering, which underlined the culinary dimension of the evening with internationally inspired compositions. An accompanying Charity Subasta, an auction modelled on the Festival del Habano in Cuba, was the festive finale to the evening. Rare vintage cigars, selected rarities from the world of rum and an extraordinary collection of historical cigars were auctioned off. Cohiba cigar rings. The proceeds totalling € 3,174 were donated to the Arche in Reinickendorf. Subasta thus combined a passion for collecting with social commitment and gave the festival a worthy, authentic finale.
A strong signal for Habanos culture in Germany

With over 100 guests over three evenings, the Festival del Habano Berlinés impressively demonstrated the importance of Habanos culture outside of Cuba. The combination of exclusive cigars, international partners, a musical supporting programme and culinary delights has already made the festival a highlight of the 2026 cigar year.
At the same time, the organisation of the event proved that the generational change at Zigarren Herzog was a seamless success. The well-coordinated team once again demonstrated its experience, its network and its ability to realise a multi-day festival of this size at the highest level. Zigarren Herzog thus remains not only a specialist retailer, but also a host of sophisticated cigar experiences.
