The Montecristo Elba 2025 Limited Edition

With this Limited Edition Habanos S.A. reaffirms the claim to excellence and authenticity that has always characterised Montecristo.

The Elba (54 ring gauge × 146 mm length) bears the factory name Encantos and is a completely new vitola in the Habanos portfolio. It presents itself with a medium to full body and is of course „Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga“ made entirely by hand with long filler tobaccos. All tobaccos - wrapper, binder and filler - come from the best fields of the Vuelta Abajo in the Pinar del Río region (Cuba), the world-famous home of the finest tobacco in the world.

Montecristo Elba 2025 Limited Edition

The tobaccos of the Montecristo Elba 2025 Limited Edition mature for at least two years before they are processed - a guarantee of balance, intensity and elegance that epitomise the unmistakable essence of Montecristo and once again place the brand among the legends of Habano.

Two presentations for collectors and connoisseurs

The Montecristo Elba 2025 Limited Edition appears in two versions:

  • A special box with 20 pieces, which is marketed worldwide.
  • A premiere edition for Spain, limited to 10,000 numbered boxes of 5 cigars, each with a special „Limited Edition Premiere“ ring.

Both versions are equipped with the latest NFC technology - on both the packaging and the cigar ring. This makes it possible to verify authenticity and product information and at the same time access exclusive content about the brand and its history. Habanos S.A. thus combines technological progress with traditional craftsmanship - and enriches the experience for aficionados without touching the soul of the Habano.

An evening full of enjoyment and culture

The premiere in Madrid was a feast for the senses.

The dinner offered fine products and pairings: wines and brandies from Ximénez-Spínola, Wines from Celler Masroig, beers from Mahou, Iberico ham 959, speciality coffee Café Dromedario, Rum Havana Club Selección de Maestros, Whisky Chivas Regal Mizunara, Tequila Código 1530 Reposado, Armagnac from Marcillac and cocktails with St Petroni Aperitivo and Pacharán Menesa.

Musical accompaniment was provided by the electric violinist Miguel Lara and singers Pitingo, which combined classical music, flamenco, soul and modern sounds - a production inspired by the essence of Montecristo.

Why is a distinction made between two vitolas?

✅ Briefly: Vitola de galera = Factory format (technical standard designation). Vitola de salida = trade/model name (this is how it appears on the shelf and on the box).

👉 Vitola de galeraUsed in the factory (rollers, quality control, Habanos catalogues). Standardised Format heading for all brandsdefined Length (mm) and Ring size. Often in the Plural (e.g. Robustos, Marevas, Dalias, Laguito No. 1).

👉 Vitola de salida: Commercial name for the sale; Brand and model-related. Stands on Box, price lists, websites. In the German language it is called Format. In other languages, however, this term is unknown; there it is generally referred to as Vitola.
